Prior to the recent passing of the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program (MMCP), patients could only access legalized CBD with no more than .5% THC allowed under Harper Grace’s Law passed in 2014. While this law allowed for the use of high-CBD extracts and authorized three research centers to produce high-CBD extracts, there were no real measures implemented for patients to obtain these extracts.
