Medical Marijuana in Maryland

Medical marijuana has been legal in Maryland since 2014 and available for patients with various medical conditions since 2017. Adults over 21 will be legally permitted to have up to 1 ½ ounces of cannabis flower in their possession and/or up to 12 grams of concentrate. Possession of more than 1 ½ oz. but less than 2 ½ oz. is punishable with a fine up to $250, and possession of more than 2 ½ oz. is punishable with a fine up to $1000 and 6 months in jail.
