Cannabicyclol, a phytocannabinoid also known as CBL, is a non-intoxicating minor cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. CBL is created when CBC is decarboxylated, meaning exposed to heat, similar to how the cannabinoid CBN is formed. CBL is formed when cannabis is exposed to heat and UV light.

There has not been as much research on CBL compared to other cannabinoids. CBL is found typically only in strains that contain a high concentration of CBC. CBL is found more in older doses of cannabis that have been stored for long periods. The THC and CBD in cannabis will decrease as it ages and will convert into more CBC and CBL over time.
