Cannabichromene (CBC) is a cannabinoid that was discovered more than 50 years ago, with the same origins as the most popular cannabinoids, THC & CBD, all stemming from cannabigerolic acid (CBGA). CBC is considered one of the top 6 cannabinoids, although gets less attention and does not produce a ‘high’ like THC as it does not bind well to CB1 cannabinoid receptors. CBC does bind with other receptors, including the vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1), which is linked to the perception of pain and is shown to work well with other cannabinoids for an entourage effect.
