“Mid”, often called “mids†or “middiesâ€, is a slang term used in the cannabis community to refer to mid to low-grade cannabis. It is a step below high-quality or top-shelf strains (skunk, dank), and generally denotes cannabis that is of less than average potency, appearance, and aroma. Mid-grade cannabis can be full of stems and seeds and dried-out, dense brown buds that may or may not get you high. Don’t get caught paying premium prices expecting top-shelf cannabis and get doped into buying mids. Many in the business won’t even use it for edibles, much less smoke it for fear of getting nothing more than a headache.
