Cannabicyclolic Acid, CBLA, is a rare compound that is considered non-psychoactive in nature. CBLA is not an original cannabinoid but rather is formed as a result of changes that alter Cannabichromenic acid, CBCA. When CBCA is exposed to UV light or heat, this photochemical reaction causes degradation of CBCA, which forms CBLA, mostly found in stored cannabis that was harvested early in the vegetative stage. Research is still emerging on the therapeutic benefits of CBLA, although some studies suggest that this cannabis compound may have anti-inflammatory properties.
