Cannabinol (CBN) is a cannabinoid just like THC and CBD, which get more attention as the most popular cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. CBN, however, is gaining in popularity as people are realizing the many benefits this cannabinoid can provide. Both CBD and CBN interact with the same endocannabinoid receptors in the body, although they produce different effects.

CBD is mainly produced from the hemp plant and is legal for consumption in many states, whereas CBN is not as readily available or quite as popular yet. While more research needs to be done on this non-intoxicating yet exciting cannabis compound, CBN is showing potential benefits for pain management and is gaining a reputation as a sleep aid. Some studies show maximum sleep-aid effect when combined with THC.
