Fenchol is a secondary terpene that is less common than some others found in the cannabis plant. Fenchol is abundant in certain species of Aster flowers, found in up to 16% of the oils of these purple star-like flowers. Fenchol has a unique and pleasing aroma, is often used as a fragrance in perfumes, and can be found in laundry detergent and fabric softener products. Fenchol is also known to provide health benefits such as pain relief and to act as an antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antioxidant.
