The endocannabinoid system, ECS, is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids and is a vast network of cellular receptors and chemical signals that are found throughout our bodies and brains.

Endocannabinoids are lipid based, endogenous neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in the brain and act like traffic police to control the levels of activity of many other neurotransmitters and regulate biological systems such as pain, energy, memory, blood pressure, appetite, alertness, temperature, hunger, immune response and more.
