Aeroponics is a method of growing cannabis where the roots are suspended in a mesh basket in the air and continuously sprayed with a fine mist of water and nutrient rich solution. Aeroponics is a common method when starting cannabis clones to produce a healthy root system prior to potting in another grow media or soil. There are many advantages to aeroponic growing such as large, healthy buds by applying nutrients directly to the roots, beautiful trichomes, and no soil pests. Growing with aeroponics can be complex and some experience with growing is recommended as some disadvantages can be that roots will dry out very quickly and die if misting intervals are missed due to equipment failure or broken pumps. Systems in place to alert of failure help produce successful, beautiful buds with aeroponics.
