A nectar collector is a portable type of dabbing device that resembles a long thin straw-like apparatus. If you can’t take your whole dab rig with you, you can take a nectar collector to vaporize and inhale cannabis concentrates or extracts. It typically consists of a glass or quartz tube with a mouthpiece at one end and a heated tip at the other. Instead of placing a concentrate on the nail of a dab rig, the user simply dips the heated tip right into the concentrate to inhale the vapor through the mouthpiece.
Make sure the surface that the concentrate rests on is able to withstand the heat from the tip. Many users prefer silicone to hold concentrates when dabbing this way or will use the nectar collector to dab right from a silicone container. Make sure you have a safe place to set the apparatus on to cool down after using the hot tip. Some collector models feature water filtration to cool the vapor before it reaches your mouth.
